Philosophy

Every time I film a wedding, I am reminded of what a vital piece of family history the film I am making is. Through my lens, I see the love that fills the words in a couple’s shared vows, and the lightness in the steps of their first dance as Mr. and Mrs. But I also see the joy in the face of the niece who walks down the aisle as flower girl or the pride a young nephew has in being chosen as ring bearer. I hear the sentiments not often spoken between siblings in their toasts to the bride and groom. I see parents remembering back to their own wedding day content now to know that their child has found love too. I see grandparents, some of whom will be outlived by this union, simply living in the joy of the moment. And in these instances, I know I’m making a living document.

Given all the details a modern bride and groom have to attend to, selecting a wedding filmmaker seems often to be one of the last things on the never-ending to-do list. And yet, each and every one of my clients realizes its true value in the calm after the wedding. One couple put it best when they wrote,

“we each remembered something different about that day , but when we saw our feature film we remembered it all!”

I suppose all you need to know about us is that we recognize how important capturing your momentous day is and we take that charge to heart.
